Lenovo Started in the 1984 as a small company, founder- Liu Chuanzhi in Beijing "Lenovo" is a portmanteau of "Le-" (from Legend) and "novo", Latin ablative for "new''. 2003 Legend announces the birth of its new "Lenovo" logo to prepare for its expansion into the overseas market. 2004 Lenovo and IBM announce an agreement by which Lenovo will acquire IBM's PC Division.IBM PCD 1981 introduces its first personal computer, the IBM PC Price $1,600 & 1984 its first portable computer, the IBM Portable PC, weighing 12 pounds.
