Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC) was founded in Chicago in 1947, Illinois, by Ross Siragusa as the Asian arm of his Admiral Corporation, and later established in Taiwan in 1967 as the first manufacturer of color televisions for export.
With the adoption of the brand name AOC in 1979 as well as the opening of the first manufacturing facility in China in 1990, the rapid infiltration of the world market began.
